The technology of materials and golf have come a long way in the last 20 years. The next thing to ponder is the launch angle. This is the angle in which the golf ball takes off from the club at impact. Different golfers have different types of swings, tee-positions, body shapes, etc., and each requires a different launch angle. Usually professional golfers prefer lower loft angles of 9 degrees (or sometimes less) to keep the ball flying low and long. If you’ve been golfing for awhile, you should strongly consider a club with a loft angle between 9 and 11 degrees. If you’re just starting out, you should look at one higher than 11 degrees.
