When you purchase a used golf cart from a dealer often you will get the ability to select particular features, equipment, and custom paint and upholstery.

You will most likely pay more for these special features or options, but you will still pay much less than you would when buying a new golf cart. You can also purchase an “as is” used golf cart. When purchasing one of these from a dealer you can be assured that it has gone through a basic inspection but it will not have been given a complete renovation that a refurbished cart would have received. They are sold as is, which means that there will not be a warranty offered. Before making your final selection it is a good idea to look at a few different dealers will good reputations.

Speaking with a knowledgeable dealer will allow you to narrow down the type of used golf cart that will work for you. Make sure you thoroughly inspect the golf cart looking for signs of wear and tear as well as rust. Ask the seller of the golf cart if there have been any repairs performed on the golf cart. If possible take a test drive to get an idea of how the cart drives. It is best if you can test it on hills and will passengers.
