Top Five Golf Courses
Right here are the top five golf course from areas situated all over the world. Get those electric golf trolleys ready, here come the best of the best.
5. Shinecock Hills Golf Club
A stunning course that has hosted four US opens so far. Really very challenging, easily going to struggle to get your usual handicap on this course. First designed in 1891 and remodelled in 1930 little has changed since then proving it to be course with very little faults indeed.
4. At number four is the magnificent St Andrews (old)
This is certainly the oldest course in the entire world with golf being played here from as early as the 12 century. Although known as the home of golf it is apparently not very good for newcomers to the course. It is a course that you have to get to know and love before you actually enjoy playing here.
3. Cypress point golf club
the vast majority of people will never get a chance to play on this course as it only has 250 members but the last few holes have been called the best in golf. I have never actually played this course so I have no idea how well it plays but it certainly had to come into the top five.
2. Number two is Royal County Down
Voted the best course in the United Kingdom this golf course located in Ireland was designed back in 1889 and modified in 1908. Some of my best golf was played on this course with my brilliant birdie on hole 6 which is partly why it is at the number two slot.
1.Pine Valley is at number one
It had to be the number one slot purely because it is the most stunning course I have ever seen in my life. The only problem with this course is the huge 10ft deep bunker containing no sand, in other words its a no go area! If you get the golf ball into the bunker then there is no way you are going to get out of it.
